RoHS, the Restriction of the Use of certain Hazardous Substances, is a product level compliance based on the European Union’s Directives. Products that are RoHS compliant do not exceed the amounts allowed of restricted materials such as lead, mercury, cadmium, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyls (PBB) and polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDE). This directive is intended for manufacturers, authorized representatives, importers, and distributors of products.
At UBQ, we are committed to the health of the planet and its people in every stage of the process. The UBQ™ material meets the requirements of RoHS Directive 2011/65 EC and 2015/863 EU. The product does not contain any of the RoHS restricted substances above the maximum concentration values allowed according to RoHS Standard.
The Proposition 65 is also known as the Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986. The proposition establishes a list of chemicals which the state of California’s risk assessment process has determined to present a risk of cancer, birth defects or other reproductive harm. This list is updated at least once a year and it now includes around 900 chemicals since it was first created.
UBQ Materials declares that the UBQ™ material does not trigger labelling requirements under California’s Safe Drinking Water & Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986. At UBQ, we factor our environmental footprint in everything we do. We will continue to monitor the Proposition 65 regulations and affirm that this declaration is accurate, to the best of our knowledge, as of the date of issue.
